WESTERVILLE – Otterbein graduate student Erin Storrer, seniors Lillia Walter and Olivia Eckels and sophomore Taryn Simmers were named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Academic All-District Team for the 2024-25 season, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. In tennis, a student-athlete must have been in the lineup for 70% of the team's scored competitions during the season.
This marks the third career CSC Academic All-District accolade for Storrer and Walter and the first for Eckels and Simmers.
This recognition is the latest in a long list for Storrer in her decorated Otterbein career. A Pre K-5 Primary Education major boasting a 4.00 GPA, she played in all 20 scored matches this season primarily at No. 2 singles and Nos. 1 and 2 doubles. She posted a 31-21 overall record, including 14-12 in singles and 17-9 in doubles.
In four seasons at Otterbein, Walter amassed a 142-73 career record, including 66-37 in singles and 76-36 in doubles. Those marks included an impressive 47-3 record in OAC regular-season duals, going 24-1 in singles and 23-2 in doubles.
